The County Honor Band concert will take place Sunday, January 17th, 2 p.m., in the McAfee Performing Arts Center at Saratoga High School.

Rats
 
We have found evidence of rats in the band room, and every scrap of food left in lockers and tossed on the floor becomes a feast for them.  Food and garbage in the music building invite vermin.   Have you smelled the instrument locker room lately?
 
 
Lost and Found
 
Just a reminder, please check the pile of orphaned clothing sitting in the band room for anything that might belong to you.  Whatever is left at the end of the day on Friday, December 18th, will be taken to Good Will.  If we find band jackets and shoe bags in the pile on Friday, we will contact you and store them, but it will cost $5 to get them out of storage!  Be sure you check your homes for shoe bags,   Parents will be contacted to let them know what was left in the band room. It will be pretty embarrassing if your parent finds out you left your stuff in the band room after they asked you if you had them at home.   There are a large number of marching shoes laying around.  Just a reminder, you bought those shoes to be used for every marching season, not just this one.  I’m sure your parents don’t want to spend another $30 for another pair of shoes.  Better start looking for them!
 
 
Winter Concert DVDs

We are working out the details and hope to have order info in the next blast.  The concerts were too fantastic to trust them to memory!

2010-11 Volunteers Needed
 
It’s not too early to start thinking about next year. We have a great group of parent volunteers who work very well together and we welcome anyone who wants to help.  Marching Band season runs from late August to the end of November, and most of our volunteer help is needed for the football game concessions that the Music Booster organization runs.  This would involve only a five game commitment for the season.  We need people to take over in a number of key positions for next year. Please contact me, (Rene Watkins, randersonwatkins@mac.com), if you are interested in taking on any of the following.  I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have or I can direct you to the person who can fill you in on the details.
