WE STILL NEED DESSERT & VOLUNTEERS FOR EXCHANGE CONCERTS
We have had a very poor response to our request for desserts and help at the upcoming exchange concerts. We have 162 families in our Symphonic and Concert Bands and yet we've had only 3 sign up (45 in our Orchestra with NO sign ups). We'd like to make these nice events where the students from the different schools have an opportunity to play for each other and to socialize afterward. This would not be possible with out help and food donations.
On Feb 9, for the Symphonic and Concert Band Exchange, we need 700 servings of dessert plus a few people to set up at 8:30pm, serve at 9:30pm and clean up at 10pm. Desserts may be dropped off at the school quad (by the cafeteria) before the concerts.
On Thurs, Feb 10, our Orchestra will host the Los Gatos HS Orchestra (and Mr Marra). We will do a pizza dinner. For this event, we need people to help set up, serve pizza and clean up (5:30pm – 7:15pm). This will all occur before the concert starts.
Please log on to our volunteer website to sign up for dessert and/or volunteering. If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Edmonds, edmondsbarb@yahoo.com.

Our Homestead Concert Band leads off the evening, first on stage at 6:30 pm.

Students from all three school sites will mingle after the concert, enjoying the desserts supplied by you, our Homestead families.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
< >All concerts are mandatory and students are expected to participate. Parentsmust let Mr. Burn know IN WRITING if students will not be attending.>All students and members of the audience are expected to arrive before the concert begins and stay for the entire concert. It is impolite and disruptive to other groups for you to leave in the middle of a performance.>The following is the appropriate concert attire:>· At formal performances such as adjudicated festivals and formal concerts, students are to wear the following:/>/>/>

>>>>>>
o Boys:
§ Black dress shoes, dark socks, black pants (no jeans), white button-up collared shirt, black tie and black sport coat. If a coat is unavailable, a black sweater is ok, but no sweatshirts or black shirts please.
< >Girls:>Preferred: Long black dress with shoulders covered, black hose and shoes.>Ok: Black skirt knee length or longer, or black dress pants, with black top with shoulders covered, black hose and shoes.>Not Ok: T-shirts, sweatshirts, or tennis shoes.>Rule of thumb for girls’ formal concert attire: the less skin showing, the better.>DESSERT & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR EXCHANGE CONCERTS/>/>/>/>/>
