Graduation Ceremony

This is a mandatory performance for Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band members(concert band members are excused); also returning Color Guard members.  Anyone unable to perform must provide Mr. Burn with a note from parents explaining why you are missing.

Dress:

Boys – Shirt and tie with nice pants and shoes.  No tennis shoes, no jeans, no shorts etc.

Girls – Spring Dress, color of your choice.

Guard – as discussed, black pants, white guard shirt

Schedule:

1:30 pm  – arrive in band room for rehearsal

3:00 – We perform Flourish & Pomp and Circumstance

3:30 – We quietly watch graduation ceremony

Aproximately 4:30 – We perform Procession of the Nobles, and The Sinfonians as the recessional. When it is over, Bring your music folder and isntrument back to the band room!!

Anyone using a school instrument must check them in with Mrs. Feltman, who will be waiting in the band room for your return.

Band Camp Packets!!!!

Band camp packets will be mailed Monday.  You should receive them Wednesday or Thursday (june 9^th) of this week.  Watch for catalog size white envelopes with a return address label that says Homestead High Music Boosters Marching Band Forms & Band Camp Info..

Forms and payment are due to Vicki Feltman by July 8^th!

Homestead Music Department School Year Calendar available this summer!

Complete the attached form (music dept calendar order form 2011)  if you would like to buy one or more.  They are $15 each, and really, really, REALLY chock full of useful music department information.  Not to mention the fantastic color photos!  Contact Vicki Feltman at vicki.feltman@gmail.com if you have questions.

Speaking of fantastic color photos.... we need photos for the month of December.  If you happen to have some taken during the winter concerts or at any music department activity, please contact Ken Lamarche at ken@sinkme.org.

We'll be selling scrip over the summer.   Carrie has Mary’s "big box", but they all carry scrip for sale. Folks can send them an email, and make arrangements to pick up scrip. 

Summer Instrument Check-out

If you wish to check out an instrument for the summer, or already have a school instrument at home to be used over the summer, you and your parent MUST fill out an instrument check out form.  Forms are attached to this email or can be found in the document sorter outside Mr. Burn’s office.

LOCKER CHECK IN –

Please make sure your padlocks are back on your lockers, because Mrs. Feltman will be removing all locks beginning Tuesday June 7th.  Students will be charged $10 for missing padlocks.  

All lockers will be emptied of contents the last day of school.  Whatever is left in them will be thrown away or given away.  Please make sure your lockers are EMPTY.
