For four year college applicants, it is super important that you add all your colleges on to the “Colleges I’m Applying to” list in Naviance.  Homestead cannot send anything to a college if it not on your list.  Indicate if you are applying Common App or Direct to the Institution.  If you are applying to schools via Common Application, you will need to do the following.  Sign the FERPA waiver in Common App and match in Naviance/Family Connection.   Here is a tutorial video:

This video explains that once your FERPA is completed, and you have waived your rights on the Common App side, go back in to Naviance "Colleges I'm Applying to" and MATCH by typing your Common Application email, then click on MATCH.

HHS will process the paperwork and send via Naviance. The cost for processing is $3 per school.  Here are the steps to request a transcript and counselor letter be sent:

1.     Fill out  the two ply form available in the College & Career Center, and bring $3 per school to Mrs. Lund in the CCC.

2.     UC's &CSU's do not require transcripts at time of application.  Neither do many public schools, so please check their requirements.

3.     Schools with November 1st deadline are due to me by September 19th. Application Deadlines of 12/15 are due 10/10

4.     Include a copy your resume, brag sheet, and parent questionnaire* (See Below).  All of this is in Naviance under the About Me tab.

5.     Your letter writer will contact you for an interview.  All paperwork is processed on time and before the colleges’ due dates.

6.     Teachers need to be asked in person for recommendations letters.  Follow their process. If they ask for your college list, I have a form.
