INSTRUMENT PACKING - pay special attention to the attached instructions. Make sure your instrument is secured. Things can and will happen. That last Australian band who visited us a month ago had a tenor sax damaged; a corner of the case was ripped off, exposing the instrument and rendering it unplayable.
SHIRTS - I know many people are concerned about only having one green shirt in pristine condition for a week of travel. Performers will be using the green shirt for one concert….the concert in Ala Moana Shopping Cener on Day 2. We require everyone, including adults, to wear their green shirts when checking in and boarding the plane at the airports. This doesn’t mean you need to wear it for the flight. As soon as you are settled in your seats you can take off your green shirts and very neatly fold them up. ERR, make sure you wear some other shirt UNDERNEATH your green shirt. Put the green shirt back on when we get off the plane, so we can get thru the airport in one piece. This goes for choir students, too.
Since this is part of your uniform, you MUST have a shirt. I need to know now if you need one. Don't assume you'll just ask when we get to the airport.

SHEET MUSIC - I noticed a few students going into Mr. Burn's office taking music from the folders during the special rehearsal last Thursday. You will be participating in a combined rehearsal with another festival performing group. You will need to share your music with them. Do not assume your Homestead stand mate will have YOUR copy of the music. Print out a copy of all music you will perfrom and take it with you.
CAMERAS - We have a chance to put together a festival CD with pictures we take during our trip! But this will only happen if we get a whole bunch of pictures. Bring your cameras and record your experiences. See how many candid pictures you can take of Mr. Burn before he has his coffee in the morning. Catch Dr. Morton doing laps and maybe we can convince Mr. Weingartner to do the hula!
PHONE CHARGERS - I forgot to put that on the packing list! Make sure you bring one. The way some of you use your phones for games and music, your batteries wont last a day.
EMERGENCY CONTACT PERSON - I will have my cell phone 408-483-0861 if you need to reach us. JoAnn Fitzpatrick has graciously agreed to be the trip communicator if we need to blast out information to everyone.
Please contact me if you have more questions or comments.
